«But what does the painting mean!?» I get that question a lot, painting surreal paintings. 

I always answer, it means what you want it to mean. That is the magic of art, after all. You see your self in art, you know. But okay. It is after all painted with something in mind, and I want to let you in a little closer. 

«A Whispered Warning» seen through my eyes, the painter’s perspective, is a painting that invites the viewer into a dream-like world where symbolism in surrealism sends a message to the viewer. 

This time, about the power of your intuition. The central figure in the painting is a graceful white heron, delicately balanced on a large egg with a crack in in, symbolizing potential and the fragile beginning of something new. The heron’s poised stance suggests an alertness, a readiness to respond to the subtle cues of its environment. Like it’s getting a message, but awaiting the reply.

Above the heron, a bare tree branch stretches upward, crowned with a ripe red apple, a classic symbol of knowledge and temptation. The apple balances on the heron’s head. Surrounding the heron are vibrant monarch butterflies, fluttering around the scene, their presence evoking themes of transformation and the ephemeral nature of life.
